Prohibition Era Flapper Memorabilia

Flappers were a "new breed" of young women in the 1920s who bobbed their hair, smoked cigarettes, wore short skirts, listened to jazz, and generally flaunted their disdain for socially acceptable behavior.

In the U.S., the passage of the 18th Amendment banning alcohol led to the opening of illegal speakeasies, and Flappers flocked to these back-alley illegal nightclubs.
